Big crackdown by CCB’s ANW wing international level drug racket busted;)Drugs trafficked Via Foreign parcels seized including Foreign Nationals arrested

In a major crackdown,the Central Crime Branch (CCB) Narcotics Wing has busted an international drug trafficking network operating through Foreign postal channels and arrested multiple accused,including Foreign nationals.

Acting on specific intelligence,CCB officials conducted a special operation at a foreign post office in the city and intercepted suspicious parcels sent from abroad.

The police seized 2.865 kg of hydro ganja,108 grams of MDMA crystals,and 2 grams of cocaine.A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at KG Nagar Police Station.

Following the seizure,police tracked down and arrested two accused in Adugodi.Investigations revealed that the accused were using fake names and addresses to receive narcotics sent via international parcels.

Further probe also led to the arrest of three foreign nationals who were allegedly overstaying their Visas and involved in the racket.Police said the accused were linked to drug networks operating from multiple countries.

In a parallel operation,the city police also conducted a drive against illegal immigrants.Under the supervision of officers including PI,V.D.Shivaraju,teams detained three foreign nationals from Nigeria,Tanzania,and Djibouti for visa violations and handed them over to the jurisdictional police station for further action.

Additionally,in an ongoing crackdown,Bengaluru police detained 272 Bangladeshi nationals staying illegally in the city.All of them have been handed over to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for deportation proceedings,City police commissioner , Seemant Kumar Singh,said .

Police said further investigation is underway to identify the wider network behind the drug trafficking racket and trace the origin of the seized narcotics.
