The central division cyber crime have initiated a probe to track down a person who sent a bomb threat email claiming that RDX explosives had been planted inside the City Civil Court premises has triggered concern on Tuesday .
Based on the complaint filed by B Phanidhara,Assistant registrar,City Civil Court, 66 (c) ( identity theft) of IT Act , 351(4) ( criminal intimidation committed anonymously or by concealing one’s identity ) 353(1)(b) ( publishing false information or rumors with the intent to cause fear or panic among the public, leading to offenses against the state or public tranquility) of BNS for further investigations
According to the complaint,on March 3, 2026,at around 5:41 am, an email was received from an unidentified email ID rameeza_hussaini@hotmail.com. Later, at about 11:50 am, another threatening message was sent to the official court email IDs .
The email allegedly claimed that RDX explosives filled with cyanide gas had been placed inside the court premises and warned that judges and innocent citizens should vacate the location before 11 am.
The complainant has requested authorities to trace the unidentified person sending the repeated threat emails and initiate legal action.
