On the night of 07 February 2026,six members belonging to two families,residing at GM Apartment,Tirupalya, under the jurisdiction of Hebbagodi Police Station,were trapped inside a lift due to a technical snag.
Noticing the situation,an apartment staff member immediately alerted “Namma 112”,following which the information was relayed to the Hoysala-08 patrol staff on duty— PC-19510 Vijay Gadad and AHC-23031 Devappa.
Responding promptly,the Hoysala patrol team rushed to the spot,assessed the situation,and with their own efforts managed to open the lift door.All six persons, including two children,were safely rescued.
This incident highlights the humane,alert,and responsive approach of the Bengaluru City Police under the Safe City initiative, ensuring timely assistance to citizens in distress.
Bengaluru City Police Commissioner,Seemant Kumar Singh,the Joint Commissioner of Police,East Division,Ramesh Banoth and the Deputy Commissioner of Police,M Narayana Electronic City Division, have appreciated the swift and effective action taken by the Hebbagodi Police.
