A shocking triple murder case has come to light in Kotturu area of Vijayanagara district,where a man allegedly killed his parents and sister following a family dispute.
The accused was detained by Tilaknagar police and later confessed to the crime during interrogation.
Senior officer told reporters that the accused approached Tilaknagar Police Station on Thursday afternoon claiming that his father,mother and sister had gone missing.
However,when officers questioned him about the time and place of their disappearance,his responses were vague and inconsistent, raising suspicion.
Police took the man into custody for further questioning, during which he reportedly admitted to murdering all three family members.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the crime may have been triggered by a dispute over the sister’s relationship.
Police suspect the accused was angered as his parents were supportive of his sister’s relationship with another man.
Tilaknagar police have registered a murder case and are continuing detailed interrogation to ascertain the exact motive and sequence of events.
After completion of preliminary procedures,the accused will be handed over to Vijayanagar police for further investigation,as the crime occurred within their jurisdiction.
