The Hebbagodi police have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly wearing women’s innerwear and roaming in public places,causing public nuisance and outrage.
Senior officer told reporters that the incident was reported on January 19,2026,within the limits of the Hebbal police station.
The accused was allegedly seen wearing women’s undergarments,posing obscenely,and moving around public areas,creating discomfort and fear among women.
Acting on information,the Hebbagodi police conducted a search operation and detained the suspect.
During interrogation, the accused was identified as Amal N.Aji alias Aji Kumar N.a resident of Somarajapura village,near Ganesh Temple,5th Cross,Hebbal.
During a search of his residence,police recovered several women’s innerwear items,which were seized as evidence.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused allegedly wore women’s undergarments and posed in public on multiple occasions.
A case has been registered at Hebbal police station under Sections 303(2),329(4),and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS),2023.
Further investigation is underway,and the accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
