The Two NAMMA 112 teams,becomes life saviour in two separate incidents as with inputs from the Command Centre,helped rescue an unconscious man in Banashankari and an elderly woman in distress near M.G.Road in separate instances.
On 09th December 2025,Tuesday morning,an unknown person noticed a man lying collapsed in an unconscious state on Kaveri Nagar Road,Banashankari 2nd Stage, and immediately called the emergency helpline “Namma 112”.
Responding swiftly,the “Namma 112”staff alerted Assistant Sub-Inspector,K.H.Gowda and Police Constable,Umesh,who were on duty in Hoysala-148 of the Banashankari Police Station.
Acting on the information,the Hoysala officers reached the spot within just 11 minutes,and shifted the unconscious man to Victoria Hospital for urgent
medical treatment.
After providing the necessary care,he was later handed over to his family members.
In another incident The“Namma 112”staff promptly took action and alerted ASI A.Rathod and PC
Harish,who were on duty in Hoysala-29 of Halasuru Police Station.
Responding to the call,the Hoysala-29 staff reached the location in just 9 minutes.
Upon arrival, they noticed that an elderly woman,around 80 years old,was wandering without clothes.They provided her with clothes and food,and then safely took her to Shifani Old Age Home for her care and
rehabilitation.
This incident demonstrates how the Safe City initiative effectively enhances citizens’safety.Quick response, the use of technology,and improved patrolling systems help build trust among the public.
Under the Bengaluru Safe City Project,this incident highlights the quick and co-ordinated response of the Command Centre,aimed at enhancing citizen safety across Bengaluru and reducing emergency response times.
It underscores the effectiveness of geolocation enabled dispatch systems and rapid response protocols.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Seemant Kumar Singh,Joint CP Admin,Kuldeep Kumar R Jain,DCP Command Centre,Kshama Mishra,has appreciated ASIs,as,K.H.Gowda,A.Rathod,and Police Constables,as,Umesh and Harish of Banashankari and Halasuru Police station for their excellent work and become life saviour by reaching the spot in minutes and saving unconscious man and elderly woman a suitable reward and appreciation letter be given to these officers for their brave work he added.
