Positive Stories Impact by AI Powered Surveillance Helps Rescue Abandoned Infant in Halasurgate & Kadugodi police admitted injured woman & averted a big mishap

An abandoned infant was rescued within minutes on tuesday morning after the city’s AI-powered surveillance system alerted the Halasurgate police.

Around 9:35 a.m,a local resident spotted the infant lying abandoned in the Halasurgate Police Station limits and immediately called “Namma 112.”

Acting on the alert,the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) used artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to analyze surveillance footage and relayed the information to Hoysala-26 patrol under the jurisdiction of the Halasurgate police station.

ASI,Nanjundayya and APC,Shankarlinga Kumar of Hoysala-26 reached the spot within 14 minutes,rescued the infant,and shifted the baby to Vanivilas Hospital for immediate medical attention.

Police have launched a probe and are reviewing CCTV footage using AI-assisted video analytics to trace the person responsible for abandoning the child.

Officials said the AI-driven surveillance network,part of Bengaluru’s Safe City Project,operates round-the-clock to enhance public safety.

The ICCC ensures quick response and coordination for all emergency calls received through “Namma 112,” enabling timely action during such incidents.

An early morning altercation between a man and a woman near Tree Park Metro Station on Tuesday having argument was swiftly attended to by the Kadugodi police.

According to officials,around 6:18 am,local residents witnessed the duo arguing and immediately contacted “Namma 112.”

The Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) quickly analyzed the live surveillance footage using artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms and dispatched Hoysala-234 patrol under the Kadugodi Police Station limits.

Acting within 12 minutes,ASI Hemala Nayak and PC Pundalik of Hoysala-234 reached the spot and gathered details from residents,who informed them that the woman had sustained serious injuries.The locals had already called an ambulance and shifted her to a nearby hospital.

The police team followed up at the hospital,where doctors confirmed that the woman was out of danger and recovering.

Officials said the AI-driven Safe City Project enabled real-time situational awareness and significantly reduced police response time.

The system integrates video analytics,facial recognition, and predictive policing tools to ensure faster,more effective law enforcement.

Police have launched a search to trace the accused using AI-assisted facial recognition from metro station and nearby CCTV cameras.
