A 34-year-old security guard was found dead under mysterious circumstances with multiple gunshot injuries at quarters at Dr.Ambedkar Medical College,on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Lakhan Vishwakarma,a native of Bihar,who had been working at Dr.Ambedkar medical college and hospital for the past one and a half month.
He was sharing a quarters with his friend Ranjan,who noticed him lying in a pool of blood and alerted police .
Police said the incident occurred on Sunday night,when Vishwakarma was allegedly found dead with two gunshot wounds,believed to be from a double-barrel gun, inside the quarters allotted to him.
His colleague who is also his roommate,Ranjan, informed the police about the incident on Monday morning,following which officials from DJ Halli police station rushed to the spot and registered a case of suspicious death.
Based on the complaint the police have registered a case of mysterious death and sent the body for post mortem to ascertain the exact cause of death.
