The Avalahalli police will move High Court against singer Sonu Nigam, after he failed to respond to three notices calling him for an inquiry to a case registered against him related to controversial remarks during a concert in May this year.

The police will seek High court directions through Advocate General on whether the interim protection granted to Sonu Nigam should be vacated.

The Avalahalli police have registered an FIR against Sonu Nigam charging him under criminal intimidation, intentional insult and public mischief, disturbing public order and hurting the sentiments, after he passed a remark against a fan during a music concert held in Avalahalli .

Sonu Nigam approached the high court seeking respite against the case and got the court directions to the police that he should not be arrested .

The court while passing the order directed Sonu Nigam to cooperate with the investigations.

However the police as part of the investigation, issued notices to appear before the investigating officer for questioning and recording his statement for further investigations .

However despite issuing three notices he failed to appear which according to the police is violation of the conditions .
