Alert police constable found SUV with fake number plate abandoned near DCM’s residence

Alert police constable while checking abandoned SUV parked near Deputy Chief Minister’s residence found that the vehicle is using fake registration number on Sunday.

Police Constable Manu M,attached to Sadashivanagar police station later seized the car and filed a complaint based on which an FIR has been registered against the owner of the car charging him under section 318 (cheating),338 (forgery)and 340 (fraudulently or dishonestly uses as genuine any document or electronic record) for further investigation.

According to the complaint,Manu was deployed for the traffic duty near DCMs office and noticed a white coloured car was parked on the road,disrupting the traffic .

Manu approached the car and looked for the driver to move the car,before checking the car details on Mobile Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (M-CCTNS) app and got the contact details of the owner .

When Manu called the number to inform the owner, he was shocked and said that his car was parked in his basement .

On suspicious,Manu checked the registration plate again to find that it was pasted on another plate to conceal the original number.

When the original number was checked again in the app the address was mentioned as door number 42, Annapoorneshwari Nilaya,Basaveshwara Layout,Bidadi town,Ramanagara district with no contact number .

The police have alerted their counterparts in Bidadi to check the address for further investigation.
