A 42-year-old man collapsed and died after suffering a suspected heart attack while having lunch at a restaurant in Gottigere,under the Hulimavu police station limits,on October 30.
The deceased has been identified as Chandru,a native of Channarayapatna,who was working as a bar cashier at Guru Greens Family Restaurant in Gottigere for the past few years.
The incident occurred around 11.40 am when Chandru was seated at a table and having his meal.He suddenly complained of chest pain and began struggling in agony before collapsing on the table.
Restaurant staff rushed to his aid and attempted to revive him by administering CPR.
However,he failed to regain consciousness.He was immediately shifted to a private hospital,where doctors declared him dead despite treatment.
The entire incident,including Chandru’s desperate struggle and his collapse,was captured on the restaurant’s CCTV cameras.
The Hulimavu police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
