Pommala Sunil Kumar,Commissioner,Bengaluru North City Corporation, today visited various locations within the Corporation’s jurisdiction and inspected civic amenities and development works.
During the visit,he interacted with local residents, representatives of Resident Welfare Associations and senior citizens,and gathered information regarding the issues and requirements raised by them.
Micro-Planning for Street Sweeping:
During the inspection near Mosques Road Junction in Pulikeshi Nagar,the Commissioner reviewed the inadequate street cleaning arrangements and directed the concerned officials to prepare micro-planning by September 29,obtain the details and ensure that the cleaning works are carried out properly through continuous follow-up.
Expediting Road and Drain Works:
The Commissioner held a meeting with representatives of the North East Bengaluru Resident Welfare Association and senior citizens. 
During the meeting, he directed the concerned officials to expedite the drain works in Hutchins Road and Wheeler Extension Road areas.
The Commissioner directed officials to regularly review the progress of works being undertaken by the Corporation and various departments,set appropriate timelines for the works,ensure progress accordingly and complete them within the stipulated period.
He further stated that he would personally review the progress at various stages to ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the prescribed quality standards and timelines.
Elevated Rotary Project:
The Rotary Flyover Project,a Government of Karnataka project connecting Maruthi Seva Nagar,SMVT Baiyappanahalli Railway Station,Kammanahalli and Banaswadi,has been approved.
The concerned Joint Commissioner was directed to expedite the land acquisition process required for the project.
The work will commence after the necessary land acquisition process is completed.
Underpass and K-RIDE Land Acquisition:
The underpass near Charles School currently permits the movement of only two-wheelers,while four-wheelers are unable to pass through it.
Regarding the widening of the underpass,the Executive Engineer of Sarvagnanagar was directed to discuss the matter with Minister, K.J.George,obtain his views, coordinate with K-RIDE,and take necessary steps to facilitate the execution of the work.
Joint Commissioner,Mohammed Naeem Momin, Executive Engineers,other Corporation officials and staff, and local residents were present during the inspection.
