A 46-year-old man was found dead inside a parked Audi in Bengaluru’s Koramangala on Sunday morning,barely 400 metres from the local police station.
The deceased has been identified as Salim Akbar,a native of Kodagu district.
Senior officer told reporters that local residents alerted the control room around 8 am,after noticing a man sitting unresponsive inside the luxury car.
A police team rushed to the spot and found Salim Akbar dead inside the vehicle.
CCTV footage from the area showed the Audi arriving and stopping in front of Sagar Fast Food in Koramangala’s 8th Block at around 2.30 am.
Preliminary investigation suggests that Akbar may have died due to sudden health complications. Police have not found any evidence of foul play so far.
However,the exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem examination and forensic analysis.
The Koramangala police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR).The deceased’s family has been informed,and further investigation is underway.
