Crackdown on pharmacies in Bengaluru,suspends Pfizer C&F depot licence

Among the establishments facing action is the M/s Pfizer Ltd C&F Depot at Kempanalinganahalli Village, Nelamangala Taluk,Bengaluru Rural district,whose wholesale drug licence has been suspended.

According to the list issued by the Commissioner of Food Safety and Drugs Administration,the licences of the following firms have been cancelled:

The action comes amid the department’s ongoing crackdown against alleged irregularities in the pharmaceutical supply chain in Bengaluru and surrounding areas.

The FDA has been conducting inspections and taking regulatory action against establishments found violating drug-control regulations.

The licence action covers both wholesale and retail establishments,with cancellations being the more severe regulatory measure among the two actions listed in the FDA order.
