In a suspected case of murder-suicide,a man allegedly killed his wife before taking his own life at their residence in Gangenahalli RT Nagar in the city on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as David and Sumitra,who were married for around 10 years.

According to police,Sumitra’s body was found on the floor,while David was discovered hanging inside the house.
Preliminary findings suggest that she may have been smothered to death,following which the accused is suspected to have died by suicide using a saree.
Investigators also noted injury marks on David’s hands, indicating possible resistance during the incident.
Both bodies have been shifted to Ambedkar Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North Division)B.S. Nemagouda visited the spot and conducted an inspection.He stated that the exact cause of death is yet to be established and that investigations are underway to determine whether it is a case of murder followed by suicide or any other angle.
According to relatives,the couple had ongoing domestic disputes.Their children had reportedly been sent to a relative’s house earlier due to frequent quarrels.Further investigation is in progress.
