In a strategic move to redefine the travel landscape between India and Malaysia,Pickyourtrail, India’s leading personalised travel platform, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tourism Malaysia.
The agreement, witnessed by Mr.K.Saravana Kumar, Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai, marks a significant step toward strengthening Malaysia’s position as a preferred international destination for Indian travellers.
This partnership brings together Tourism Malaysia’s destination expertise and Pickyourtrail’s strengths in personalised travel design to jointly develop campaigns and curated offerings that move beyond standardised packages, aligning with the evolving expectations of Indian travellers seeking more meaningful and flexible international experiences.
As part of this collaboration, both organisations will focus on making travel to Malaysia more accessible through innovative formats and offerings.
A key highlight is the introduction of no-cost EMI travel packages, developed in association with leading banking partners.
This “travel now, pay later” model enables travellers to book curated Malaysia holidays with flexible payment options ranging from 3 to 9 months, reducing upfront cost barriers while maintaining flexibility and choice.
In addition, the partnership will introduce exclusive airline offers in collaboration with key carrier partners, further strengthening the overall value proposition.
Sharing his perspective on the collaboration, Hari Ganapathy, Co-founder and CEO of Pickyourtrail, stated that Indian travellers today are looking for more control over how they plan and pay for travel, and that partnerships like this allow for flexible financing without compromising on experience.
Mr. Hishamuddin Mustafa, Director of Tourism Malaysia Chennai, added that India continues to be one of Malaysia’s most important source markets, and this partnership reflects a commitment to making Malaysia an even more compelling and accessible destination.
The initiative is well-timed as outbound travel from India continues to grow. Internal data from Pickyourtrail shows that bookings to Malaysia have grown by 100+% YoY, driven by proximity, visa ease, and destination diversity.
This MoU also sets the foundation for long-term collaboration, particularly as Tourism Malaysia spearheads the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign, which aims to attract international tourists through immersive and “meaning-led” travel experiences.
Through this synergy, Pickyourtrail and Tourism Malaysia aim to build sustained travel demand and deeper engagement between Indian travellers and Malaysia as a destination.
