Intensifying their crackdown on narcotics, the Bengaluru City Police have arrested 10 peddlers including Foreign nationals and seized drugs with an estimated market value of Rs.23.63 crore in a series of coordinated operations across the city.

The raids were carried out over the past few weeks by teams from Yelahanka New Town,DJ Halli,Banaswadi, Koramangala,Bommanahalli, and Pulakeshinagar police stations.

Among those arrested are three foreign nationals, including two women, along with two local residents and five persons from other states.

Police recovered 5.919 kg of MDMA crystals, 1.151 kg of cocaine,21 kg of ganja, and 19 grams of ecstasy pills.

A two-wheeler used in the operation was also seized.

The total value of the confiscated contraband is estimated at Rs.11.81 crore, with its street value nearly doubling that figure.

According to police, the probe was initiated based on credible intelligence inputs indicating the sale of prohibited narcotic substances across multiple jurisdictions in the city.

Cases have been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the respective police stations, followed by targeted raids at identified locations.

“During interrogation, the accused admitted that they procured narcotics such as MDMA,Cocaine,Ganja, and ecstasy pills from foreign, interstate, and local suppliers at lower prices and sold them—primarily targeting the public, including college students—for quick profits,”an official statement said.

Investigators are now working to trace the larger supply network, including foreign and interstate links suspected to originate from regions such as Delhi and Nepal.

City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh said the anti-drug drive will continue with a focus on dismantling supply chains.

“Jurisdictional police have been directed to strictly pursue all drug cases to their source and ensure the supply chain is effectively disrupted,”he said.

All accused, including the two foreign national women, have been produced before the court on different dates and remanded to judicial custody.
