Lokayukta officials raids several officials across state against 8 govt officials unearthed disproportionate assets worth Rs.36.9 Crores

The Karnataka Lokayukta Police carried out simultaneous raids across the state on Tuesday in connection with disproportionate assets (DA) cases registered against eight government officials.

The searches were conducted under the jurisdictions of Lokayukta police units in Mysuru,Belagavi,Mangaluru, Chitradurga,Shivamogga,Ballari,Bidar, and Kodagu.

According to officials,raids were carried out at more than 35 locations, including residences,offices,and properties belonging to relatives of the accused officers.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused officials had allegedly amassed assets disproportionate to their known sources of income,with a combined value of approximately Rs.36.9 Crores.

Details of assets identified:

G.K.Revan Kumar (Mysuru):AE,PWD,Sub division, Mysuru,₹4.27 crore.

Ajay sing Bapusing Rajaput,Assistant Executive Engineer, District Urban Development Cell,DC Office,Belagavi, ₹5.81 crore.

Babu B.N.(Mangaluru),Assistant Drug Controller, Mangaluru,₹4.40 crore.

Susheelamma H.G.Accounts Asst,(Voluntary Retiremnt), Nirmithi Kendra,Chitradurga.₹8.32 crore (highest).

Shobha K.R.District officer,Devaraju Ars Backward community welfare Department,Shivamogga.₹3.88 crore.

Shivanna (Ballari),Asst.Director,Fisheries Dept,Ballari, ₹2.82 crore.

Suresh K.L,Retied Incharge Comptroller,Karnataka veterinary Science and fisheries University Nandinagar Bidar,₹4.38 crore.

I.K.Puttaswamy (Kodagu),A.E.E. No-1 Harangi Sub Division,Harangi I/C Executive Engineer,Cauvery Niravari Nigama Ltd, Harangi Rehabilition Division Office, Kushalnagara,₹2.99 crore.

The total includes immovable assets worth ₹21.71 crore and movable assets worth ₹15.21 crore.

Lokayukta officials stated that further verification of documents and valuation of seized assets is underway, and additional legal action will follow based on the findings.
