Officials instructed to make sure no untoward incident during Bengaluru IPL match

Bengaluru Central division DCP,Akshay Hakay stated that comprehensive briefing sessions will be conducted for officers and staff ahead of the IPL match scheduled on the 28th.

He said officials are being prepared in advance on how to handle match-day arrangements,with specific instructions to be given to all personnel involved.“We will brief officers and staff on the preparations required for the match,”he said.

Highlighting changes from previous matches, the DCP noted that entry arrangements have been modified this time.

“Last time,the entry system was slightly different.This time,we will brief personnel according to the revised arrangements,”he added.

Police personnel including PSIs,Senior officers,and security staff will be given detailed instructions.

Coordination has also been established with multiple departments,including PWD and medical services,to ensure smooth operations.

He further explained that entry access has been expanded,particularly along Cubbon Road,with wider gates to manage crowd flow efficiently.No one will be allowed to park on footpaths,”he clarified.

To ease transportation,metro QR codes have been integrated with match tickets,encouraging spectators to use the metro for quicker access to the stadium.

Adequate parking arrangements have also been made. Additionally,fans purchasing tickets will now have the option to select designated locations in advance,helping streamline crowd management on match day.
