A memorial built in memory of 11 Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans who lost their lives in a stampede during the team’s IPL victory celebrations was unveiled outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday.
The memorial was inaugurated by Karnataka Home Minister Dr.G.Parameshwara,who paid tributes to the deceased fans and expressed condolences to their families.

The tragic incident had occurred during large-scale celebrations following Royal Challengers Bengaluru winning the IPL trophy,when a stampede broke out, claiming 11 lives.
Several dignitaries were present at the event,including MLA,N.A.Harris,MLC D.S.Arun Kumar,Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) president,Venkatesh Prasad, RCB CEO,Rajesh Menon,and Bengaluru City Police Commissioner,Seemant Kumar Singh.
KSCA office-bearers,including Santosh Menon,Sujith Somasunder, and Vinay Mruthyunjaya,were also in attendance.
The memorial stands as a tribute to the fans who lost their lives,highlighting the need for enhanced crowd management and safety measures during large public gatherings.
