In view of the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches scheduled on March 28 and April 5, 2026, at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium,the Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced comprehensive traffic and parking arrangements to ensure smooth vehicular movement across the city.
Parking Restrictions:
Parking will be strictly prohibited on several key roads surrounding the stadium.These include both sides of Queens Road from Balekundri Circle to Queens Circle and up to CTO Junction,and along MG Road between Anil Kumble Circle and Queens Circle.
Restrictions are also in place on Link Road,Raj Bhavan Road,T.Chowdaiah Road,Race Course Road,and Central Street.
Additionally,parking will not be permitted along Cubbon Road,St.Mark’s Road,Museum Road,Kasturba Road,and Vittal Mallya Road.
Inside Cubbon Park,parking is strictly banned at King Road,near the Press Club,Bal Bhavan,and Fountain Road.
Designated Parking Facilities:
Spectators are advised to use designated parking areas, including grounds at St.Joseph’s Indian High School and St.Joseph’s European School,Freedom Park multi-level parking,Garuda Mall,Shivajinagar Bus Stand (first floor), and UB City Mall.
Stadium Entry and Exit Plan:
Entry to the stadium will be facilitated through Gates E-1 to E-3 and E-18, E-19, E-22, and E-23 located on Cubbon Road.
Gates E-11 to E-17 on Link Road can be accessed via Anil Kumble Circle and BRV Circle.
Gates E-05 and E-08 on Queens Road are designated for entry, while exit is restricted to Gates E-09 and E-9A.
Gate E-10 on Queens Road is reserved exclusively for players, support staff,officials, and VIPs.
Pick-up and Drop-off Points:
Dedicated pick-up and drop-off points for app-based cabs and autos have been arranged at BRV Ground (near Gate No. 06)and Manekshaw Parade Ground (near Gate No. 03).
Public Advisory:
Authorities have urged the public to make maximum use of public transport services,including BMTC buses and the Namma Metro,to avoid congestion and ensure hassle-free travel during match days.
