Karnataka High Court Judge Injured in Convoy Accident on Bengaluru–Tumakuru Highway,Justice G Basavaraj sustained minor injuries after his convoy met with an accident near Rayarapalya on the Bengaluru–Tumakuru National Highway on Sunday morning.
According to the police,the incident occurred around 7.30 am when a truck travelling ahead of the judge’s convoy suddenly took a left turn.
In an attempt to avoid the truck, the police escort vehicle swerved to the right and rammed the road median.
Following this, the car in which Justice Basavaraj was travelling collided with the escort vehicle.
Justice Basavaraj suffered minor injuries to his nose, while two police escort personnel also sustained injuries in the accident.All the injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said the injuries are minor and all of them are out of danger.Further details about the incident are awaited.
