Woman a Housekeeping staff found dead under suspicious circumstances near farm land in Siddapura area of Varthur probe on

A 30-year-old woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances near farm fields in Siddapura within the limits of Varthur Police Station on Wednesday morning.

Police suspect that the victim was strangulated.
The deceased has been identified as Sonali Khatun (30), a native of Murshidabad,West Bengal.

She was working as a housekeeping staff member with private company (WALSONS Facility Solutions )in Brookfield.Sonali was residing near Royal English School in Siddapura along with her husband,two children and her mother.

Her husband,Babu Shek (33),son of Ashruddin Shek,is employed as a construction labourer in the city.The couple had migrated to Bengaluru about a year ago in search of employment opportunities.They were living with their 14-year-old son, 8-year-old daughter,and Sonali’s 60-year-old mother, Sayra.

According to the police and family members,on Wednesday evening at around 7.30 PM,Sonali returned home from work and informed her husband that she had left her mobile phone at her workplace in Brookfield.She then left the house again to get back the phone,carrying her husband’s mobile phone with her.

However,she did not return home thereafter.When family members attempted to contact her on the husband’s phone,it reportedly rang once before being switched off.

Despite efforts to trace her overnight,there was no information about her whereabouts.

On Thursday,while police were making inquiries in the area following inputs about a body found near farmland in Siddapura,the family identified the deceased as Sonali Khatun.

Based on preliminary observations,police suspect strangulation.A murder case has been registered at Varthur Police Station against unknown persons.

Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to her death and to identify those responsible.
