A fire broke out at a hardware shop in Kumbarpet under the limits of Halasuru Gate Police Station on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred at around 9 am,and preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the blaze.
Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and were engaged into dousing the flames.
Meanwhile around six warriors as fire fighters were injured in fire due to smoke engulfed the area were rushed to hospital for treatment around 30 firefighters battled to bring the fire under control more than 6 fire tenders were rushed to spot and brought the fire under control .
Goods worth several lakhs of rupees were reportedly destroyed in the fire.However,no casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
