A 27-year-old woman working at a private bank was killed after being hit by a speeding Bullet motorcycle near Rajkumar Road in Rajajinagar on Monday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Yogeshwari,a resident of Kempegowda Layout near Laggere.She was employed at (HDFC ) a private Bank located on Rajkumar Road.
Senior officer told reporters that the accident occurred around 12.30 pm near the HDFC Bank premises.
Yogeshwari had stepped out with a colleague to bring lunch.While returning,the two were crossing the road when the incident took place.
Police said the colleague noticed the oncoming bike and stopped midway.
However,Yogeshwari reportedly attempted to cross the road,believing she could make it across safely.At that moment,a speeding Bullet motorcycle ridden by Deepan (21) rammed into her.
Due to the impact,Yogeshwari was thrown onto the road and sustained grievous injuries.She was immediately shifted to a private Hospital,where she succumbed despite treatment.Her body has been sent to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem examination.
The rider,Deepan,also fell from the motorcycle and sustained injuries.He is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
The Rajajinagar Traffic Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident and investigating further .
