In a tragic incident,a three-year-old boy drowned in a small water pool while his pregnant mother was engaged in a maternity photoshoot at Giddenahalli in Madanayakanahalli on the outskirts of Bengaluru.
The deceased child has been identified as Lakshmeer (3),the first child of Swathi and Charan Raj,residents of JP Nagar.
Senior officer told reporters that the incident occurred while Swathi was posing for a pregnancy photoshoot along with a friend.The toddler,who was playing nearby, reportedly fell into a small water pool at the location and drowned.
Preliminary investigations suggest that alleged negligence may have led to the mishap.The child was found unresponsive and later declared dead.
The body has been shifted to Nelamangala Government hospital for post-mortem examination.Police said the autopsy will be conducted after the arrival of the child’s father,Charan Raj,who had travelled abroad a week ago for work and is expected to return to Bengaluru on Monday.
Officers from the Madanayakanahalli Police Station visited the spot,conducted an inspection and registered a case.Further investigation is underway.
