Bihar father-son duo wanted in 48 cases arrested in Bengaluru by Bihar STF police & Kodigehalli police

Bihar police,with the help of Kodigehalli police,have arrested a father and son who had been hiding in Bengaluru for the past year while being involved in over 48 criminal cases,including around 24 murder cases in Bihar.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Rowdy-Sheeter Manik Singh (30)and his father Manoj (65).

The duo had fled Bihar and were living in Bengaluru, carrying out minor jobs to sustain themselves.

City Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh on Tuesday said that a team from the Bihar Police had arrived in the city and conducted an operation within the limits of the Kodigehalli police station.

Acting on coordination with the North East Division Deputy Commissioner of Police,two accused were arrested through a transit warrant.

The commissioner said the arrested persons were allegedly involved in multiple criminal cases.

Kodigehalli police extended full cooperation to the Bihar Police team during the operation,he added.

Police are now collecting information on who had provided shelter to the accused in the city.Investigations are also underway to ascertain how long they had been staying in Bengaluru and to verify their activities during that period, the commissioner said.
