Three members of a family who sustained severe burn injuries in a kitchen fire at their residence in Kanakapura town on Last Monday have succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Siddaraju (55), Chandramma (50),and their son Prashanth (22).
The incident occurred at a house located in Amaranarayan Block of Kanakapura.
According to the police,a fire broke out in the kitchen due to an accidental gas stove leakage while food was being prepared.
The trio sustained critical burn injuries and were rushed to Victoria Hospital,where they were undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit for the past few days.
Despite sustained medical efforts,all three victims succumbed to their injuries as the treatment failed to yield results.
The Kanakapura Town Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
