Armed Robbers Loot Rs 31.38 Lakh,Snatch Bike In Broad Daylight From Cash Collection Agent In Bannerghatta

A gang of four bike-borne men robbed Rs.31.38 lakh in cash from an employee of a private firm while he was transporting the money from different branches to the head office on Sakalawara Road,within the limits of Bannerghatta police station,on Sunday.

Senior officer told reporters that the accused intercepted the victim,who was riding a motorcycle,threatened him with a knife,assaulted him,and fled with the cash along with the vehicle.The incident occurred at around 4.20 pm.

The victim has been identified as Kailash,an employee of a cash pickup agency.He was assigned to collect cash from various branches of a private company.

On Sunday,Kailash had collected a total of Rs.31,38,625 from three branches and was heading towards Bannerghatta on a Jupiter motorcycle when the robbery took place.

Further it was revealed that four assailants arrived on two motorcycles,blocked Kailash’s vehicle,threatened him with a knife, and carried out the robbery before escaping from the scene.

The accused later abandoned the motorcycle about one kilometre away,removed the cash,and fled.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras,and the visuals have since gone viral on social media.

Following the incident,Bannerghatta police rushed to the spot,conducted a spot inspection,and launched an investigation.A manhunt has been initiated based on CCTV footage to trace and arrest the accused.
