An elderly woman was seriously injured after being hit by a motorcycle ridden by two minors in Nandini Layout area of Bengaluru on Monday afternoon.The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed near the Nandini Layout Club.
The accident occurred at around 11.54 am when the elderly woman was walking along the roadside.The motorcycle suddenly rammed into her,causing her to fall to the ground.She suffered severe head injuries due to the impact.
Local residents rushed to her aid and immediately shifted her to a nearby private hospital.The two minor riders attempted to flee the spot but were caught by locals and handed over to the Nandini Layout police.
As the place of accident falls under the jurisdiction of Rajajinagar Traffic Police Station,preparations are underway to register the case there.Police are also considering registering an FIR against the parents for allowing minors to ride the motorcycle.
Until Monday evening,the injured woman’s family members could not be traced.However,they have now been located,and police are expected to record their complaint on Tuesday.
Following this,Rajajinagar traffic police will formally register the case and proceed with further legal action.
Based on information provided by Nandini Layout police, Rajajinagar traffic police have already seized the motorcycle involved in the accident.
