The Byappanahalli Police have arrested two youth in connection with an assault case on Delivery executive over a road rage incident .
The incident occurred on January 9,2026,when the accused intercepted the complainant on a public road.
The accused allegedly abused the victim verbally and assaulted him by punching and kicking,and attacking with helmet causing injuries and public humiliation.
The accused soon fled the scene when passers by intervened the attack was recorded on a CCTV footage when went viral on social media causing public outcry.
The police initiated probe and track down the victim based on his vehicle number details.
Based on the victim’s complaint,a case has been registered at the Byappanahalli Police Station for offences punishable under Sections 270,126(2),115(2) read with Section 3(5)of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
During the investigation,police gathered technical and other evidence and arrested the accused.
The arrested persons have been identified as Jagadeesh Pandit (28),a resident of the Hoodi area and Dharma Pandit (20),also a resident of the Hoodi area.
The accused were produced before a court and further legal proceedings are underway,a senior officer said.
