A 26-year-old employee of Biocon ended life after falling from the canteen terrace at the company’s facility in Electronic City Phase 2 on Tuesday .
The deceased has been identified as Anantha Kumar,a resident of Banashankari,Bengaluru.He was working in the Finance Department of Biocon.
The incident occurred at around 5 pm within the limits of Parappana Agrahara Police Station.
Senior officer told reporters that,Anantha Kumar went to the canteen and proceeded to the terrace while speaking on his mobile phone,following which he reportedly jumped from the building.
He sustained severe injuries and was immediately shifted to Cauvery Hospital,Electronic City,where he was declared dead.The parents of the deceased have been informed.
Further said that the reason for the suicide is not yet known,and no death note was found at the spot.
A case has been registered, and further investigation are on to ascertain the reason behind the extreme step.
