In a swift action,the Sudduguntepalya police on Saturday arrested three youth for harassing a woman riding scooter and followed her on the motorcycle late at night in BTM Layout on Thursday night .
The incident occurred around midnight on December 25 when the woman was riding her scooter alone a passers-by noticed the act and recorded it on his mobile phone which went viral on social media.
As per the report which was tagged to the city police online account ,the accused riding on a single motorcycle without helmets followed the woman for nearly two kilometres,riding recklessly and attempting to intimidate her.
The accused were seen swerving their motorcycle close to the woman’s scooter and blocking her path at several points, creating panic and fear.The woman,who was wearing a helmet, managed to continue riding despite the harassment.
A motorist driving behind recorded the incident on video and shared it on social media,tagging the Bengaluru Traffic Police.The footage shows the bikers violating traffic rules and engaging in dangerous riding.
The video triggered widespread outrage online,with netizens demanding strict action against those involved. The police based on the registration number of the bike, track down the accused identified as Roshan,19, employee at a Chicken shop,Ayan,19,working at a chicken shop and Rihan khan,18,working in a garage in BTM layout first stage.
