A 64-year-old senior High Court lawyer was killed in a road accident reported on Wednesday evening around 7.30 pm.
The deceased has been identified as Ramachandra Reddy,who was crossing the road on RMV Club road when a car allegedly hit him at high speed.
Senior officer told reporters,a black car driven by Sudhir, came suddenly and rammed into the lawyer.The impact was so severe that Ramachandra Reddy died on the spot.After hitting the pedestrian,the car reportedly went on to collide with other vehicles on the road.
The entire incident has been captured on CCTV which went viral.
Three students of a private college sustained injuries and the car was also badly damaged.
Following the accident,the injured car driver was shifted to a hospital,where he is currently undergoing treatment.
The Sanjaynagar Traffic Police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation into the case.Police are examining CCTV footage and other evidence to ascertain the exact sequence of events and fix responsibility.
