The National Social Justice Bureau has submitted a formal complaint to Home Minister Dr.G.Parameshwara, raising serious allegations against officers of the Manne Manne Police Station.

The bureau has listed multiple instances of alleged misconduct, negligence, and harassment by the police, urging immediate departmental action.

According to the memorandum, the organisation claims that:

Several women from the community have reportedly been subjected to harassment and intimidation by police personnel.Despite repeated appeals,no action has been taken, the memorandum states.

The police have allegedly failed to respond to complaints filed by women seeking protection, and instead, officers are accused of threatening complainants.

Local leaders and activists who raised their voices against police misconduct have allegedly been targeted with false cases.

The bureau has expressed concern that the youths of the area are being unnecessarily detained and implicated in fabricated cases.

It further alleges that police are demanding bribes from residents in exchange for resolving minor issues.

The memorandum mentions that senior citizens and vulnerable groups have been facing continuous harassment, leading to fear and insecurity in the community.

The organisation has also raised issues regarding the rise in illegal activities in the jurisdiction despite repeated alerts to the police.

The letter complains about police allegedly ignoring women’s safety concerns and mishandling cases involving minors.

The bureau states that the 14–16 hour-long work shifts imposed on constables have resulted in mental and physical strain, impacting public service delivery.

It demands a high-level inquiry into the functioning of the Manne Manne Police Station and strict disciplinary action against erring officials.

The memorandum was signed by National President Skandasharath R,who urged the Home Minister to intervene and ensure justice for the affected residents.
