Man Kills Married Woman a live in partner In Bengaluru and ends life at their residence

A 51-year-old private firm employee allegedly strangled his live-in partner to death and later ended his life at their residence near Indira Priyadarshini Nagar,under the Rajagopalnagar police station limits,on Tuesday.

The accused has been identified as Lakshminarayana, who had been separated from his wife and was living with his partner,Lalitha (49),an employee at a rubber factory.

Lalitha’s husband had died 15 years ago,and she is survived by her 25-year-old daughter.The couple had been residing at the rented house in Indira Priyadarshini Nagar.

Senior officer told reporters that the incident came to light around 9.30 am,when a neighbour returning home noticed the main door partially open.

Finding no movement inside,he entered the house and discovered Lakshminarayana hanging from the ceiling and Lalitha lying dead on the floor.He immediately alerted the Rajagopalnagar police.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the couple had been in a live-in relationship for the past 10 years.

Police said Lakshminarayana had grown increasingly suspicious of Lalitha’s behaviour,leading to frequent quarrels.

Their argument on Monday night reportedly escalated, during which he allegedly strangled Lalitha with a dupatta.Bloodstains found on the wall and floor indicate that she may have resisted.

After killing her,Lakshminarayana is suspected to have ended his life by hanging from the ceiling fan.The exact trigger for the violence is still under investigation, police said.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination. Further investigation are on.
