A woman and her son were killed in a tragic road accident near the Judio Junction on Mysuru Road on Monday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Ashwini and her son Abhilash,residents of Golarahatti.
The accident occurred around 7.30 am when Abhilash was riding his motorcycle towards the City Market side to drop his mother at the hospital where she worked as a security guard.
According to the police,Abhilash attempted to ride through a narrow gap between a car and a moving goods container.
The bike reportedly brushed against one of the vehicles, causing him to lose control and slip under the container.
Both mother and son fell on the road,sustaining severe head injuries.They died within seconds of the impact.
The Byatarayanapura Traffic Police visited the spot, conducted a mahazar,and shifted the bodies for post-mortem examination.
A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered for further investigation.
