Man from Himachal Pradesh found dead under roadside tree with his throat slit in JP Nagar

A 32-year-old man from Himachal Pradesh,identified as Tilak Kumar, was found dead under a roadside tree with his throat slit in JP Nagar 1st Phase on Monday, triggering suspicion of murder.

The body was discovered in a sitting position under a tree near a footpath,with bloodstains found on the pavement. Local residents who noticed the body informed the police.

A team from JP Nagar Police rushed to the spot and conducted a preliminary inspection.The Scene of Crime Officers (SOCO) also examined the body and the surroundings.

Based on the nature of injuries,police initially registered a case of suspected murder.

Probe found that the deceased himself suspected to have purchased a knife from a nearby shop shortly before his death.

The JP Nagar police have registered a case of suspicious death and awaiting post-mortem report for further investigation.
