Broad Daylight Robbery in Bengaluru Fake RBI officials steal Rs.7 crore from ATM cash van

Robbery in just 7 minutes ! 7 minutes 7.11 Crores looted.

In a daring daylight robbery,miscreants posing as IT officials intercepted a van carrying cash for ATMs , threatened the staff and escaped with cash estimated to be over Rs.7.11 Crores.

Senior officer told reporters that the CMS company vehicle was transporting cash from a private HDFC Bank branch in JP Nagar when an SUV blocked its way.

The accused posing as Central Tax officers,claimed they needed to“verify documents”and forced the staff to cooperate.

The robbers then made the CMS staff sit inside their car along with the cash boxes and drove towards Dairy Circle.

After reaching the spot,the gang abandoned the staff and fled with the money.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner, Seemant Kumar Singh,Joint CPs,as,Vamshi Krishna,Ajay Hilori,DCPs,as,Sarah Fathima,Lokesh Jagalasar too visited the spot and supervised the investigation .

A special teams has been formed to launch a massive manhunt to track down the accused .

The police have examined over 50 CCTV camera recordings and have alerted checkpoints across Hosur and Kolar routes.

Police said they have obtained vital information from the staff who were inside the cash van at the time of the incident.

A search operation is underway to nab the suspects and recover the stolen cash.
