A 65-year-old autorickshaw driver was pushed to death by his wife and her relative over property dispute in Manjunath layout in Byadarahalli on Monday.
The deceased Venkatesh was married to Parvathy six years ago after the death of his first wife.
Venkatesh owned a building and Parvathy used to have regular fights with him to bequeath the house or ₹ 5 lakh .
Venkatesh refused negotiated the amount to ₹ 2.5 lakh but she was adamant .
On Sunday night the couple fought over the same issue for which Venkatesh threw her out of the house and stood on the stairs to prevent her from coming back.
Enraged Parvathy called her uncle Rangaswamy,60, who rushed to her rescue and the mamhadled Venktesh to allow Parvathy to get into the house.
In the melee,Venkatesh slipped and fell on the road and sustained severe head injury.
He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed later.
The Byadarahalli police have registered a case of murder against Parvathy and Rangaswamy charging them under murder and arrested the duo on Monday.
