Vidhana Soudha police booked Superintendent of Ramanagar govt polytechnic college & associate for forging signature of principal and pocketing funds worth Rs.1.06 Crores

The Vidhana Soudha police have registered an FIR against superintendent of Ramanagara government polytechnic college and his associate for pocketing government funds worth ₹1.06 crores forging the signature of the principal .

Based on the complaint by Ravishankar CV,principal of the SJ government polytechnic college,the police have registered a case charging the accused identified as Manjunatha NS,the then first division Assistant of the college ans his associate Jayaram H,charging them under forgery and criminal breach of trust on Wednesday for further investigation.

According to the complaint,Manjunath who was working as FDA in the college incharge of the accounts section has forged the signature of the principal to transfer the government funds to the Jayaram’s accounts through 19 cheques.He was later promoted to superintendent and transferred to Ramanagar .

The fraud came to light when Mr.Ravishankar Went to the bank to transfer the Rs.10 lakh to the head office as part of the institutional development plan fund but the request was rejected due to insufficient funds.

Shocked Mr.Ravishankar checked the bank statement to realise Manjunath’s involvement in the embezzlement .

The matter was brought to the notice of the higher ups before filing a complaint.
