Rivalry clash between cab driver turned into violent clash between two groups injuring several

A 23-year-old cab driver’s argument over road rage escalated into a violent clash between two groups in Ashoknagar police station limits in the early hours of Monday.

Senior officer said the cab driver,who was returning home after having tea,got into an altercation with his rival.

The verbal fight soon turned physical,drawing in friends and family members from both sides.

In the ensuing melee,several people sustained injuries, including the parents of one of the accused.

The incident occurred when,Mohammed imran,cab driver from Neelasandra was returning home after having tea with his two friends Abdul and Suhail on a scooter at around 1.30.

The accused identified as Rahil,Rahul,Raza Abbas, Sameer Annu,Akhil and Nawaz followed him in two bikes and started fighting over a road rage incident.The accused had old rivalry with them.

While Imran tried to reason with them,Rahil pulled out a sword and attacked him.Imran sustained injuries on his thigh and fell down from the scooter.The accused tried to stab him again but he resisted .

The accused later sped away warning him with dire consequences.Imran was later rushed to the hospital for treatment and based on his statement the police have registered a case of attempt to murder and under Arms Act against the accused .

Meanwhile a group of men in retaliation,barged into the house of the prime accused Rahil in Austin Town and attacked him with lethal weapon.

while Rahil managed to escape,the armed gang beat up the parents and younger brother when they questioned the armed men.

The accused assaulted the couple and their younger son and later brought the injured to the station in an autorickshaw when Abbas Ali,father of Rahil collapsed and fainted outside the station .

Abbas Ali was later admitted to Victoria hospital for treatment.Based on the complaint filed by Haseena Taj, the police have registered a case against six people charging them under attempt to murder and arms act and investigating further .
