Bengaluru Drug Bust:Nigerian Woman Arrested,35 Grams Of MDMA Crystal Recovered

Swift action by alert residents helped the Kodigehalli police arrest a 35-year-old Nigerian national who was allegedly attempting to deliver MDMA to a client at NTI Layout on Sunday.

The accused, identified as Nauzi Blessing,was reportedly dressed in a burkha when she was noticed taking a photograph of a house believed to be for sending the drop location of the drug.

Suspicious residents confronted her,prompting her to flee.

In a bid to escape,Blessing ran into a nearby house and allegedly tried to dispose of the drugs by throwing them into a dustbin.

However, residents surrounded the house and alerted the police,who rushed to the spot and detained her.

Subsequent verification of CCTV footage confirmed her movements,and police recovered 34 grams of MDMA worth Rs.1.7 lakh from the dustbin where she had attempted to discard it.

Police said the accused had come to the city on an entry visa that had already expired. She has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and taken into custody for further questioning to trace the source and network of her drug supply.
