Greater Bengaluru Authority Complete Dr.Rajkumar Road White-Topping Work on Priority: Maheshwar Rao

Greater Bengaluru Authority Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has directed officials to expedite and complete the ongoing white-topping work on Dr. Rajkumar Road at the earliest.

The Chief Commissioner inspected the stretch of the road —from Navarang Theatre to 10th Cross Junction— covering approximately 700 meters within the Bengaluru West City Corporation limits,and issued necessary directions to officials during the visit.

Drinking water and underground drainage pipeline works are currently being executed by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB),with the installation of associated chambers in progress.

The Chief Commissioner instructed that these works be accelerated and completed quickly.

To ensure smooth stormwater drainage, the City Corporation is also laying a 1000 mm stormwater pipeline, which is currently underway.

The Chief Commissioner directed that all ongoing works be completed within 15 days, following which the white-topping work should commence and be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

*Construction of Cross Culverts Begins:

Three cross culverts are proposed along the white-topping stretch, and one of them has already been initiated.The Chief Commissioner instructed officials to complete this work at the earliest.

*Safety Measures Emphasized:

Traffic movement has been restricted on the one side of the road where the works are underway,with arrangements made to facilitate vehicular flow on the alternate lane.

The Chief Commissioner directed officials to ensure strict adherence to traffic management and safety protocols to prevent congestion and ensure public safety during the construction period.

Present during the inspection were Dr.Rajendra K.V, Commissioner,Bengaluru West City Corporation,Aarthi Anand,Joint Commissioner,Swayamprabha,Chief Engineer,and other senior officials.
