A software engineer was left shocked after receiving a piece of tile in the box instead of a high-end mobile phone he had ordered online.
The victim,identified as Premanand,resident of KS Layout had placed an order for a (Samsung Z Fold smartphone)worth Rs.1.85 lakh on the (Amazon) e commerce app.
The product was delivered on the scheduled date as per the app’s timeline.
Premanand,who recorded a video while unboxing the package,was stunned to find pieces of tile inside the box instead of the premium smartphone he had paid for in full.
When he tried to contact the delivery executive,there was no response.Left with no option,Premanand filed a complaint through the National Cybercrime Reporting (NCRP ) Portal and later approached the Kumaraswamy Layout Police Station,where a formal complaint has been registered.
The police are trying to track down the delivery executive to ascertain the source of the parcel .
