Bengaluru North City Corporation:Segregate Dry and Wet Waste, Clear Black Spots, and Keep Roads Clean – Pommala Sunil Kumar

With an aim to enhance the cleanliness and aesthetics of the city,Pommala Sunil Kumar,Commissioner of Bengaluru North City Corporation,visited the Sanjaynagar Mustering Point in the Hebbal Division to inspect the attendance of pourakarmikas and the functioning of auto-tippers.

During the inspection,the Commissioner instructed pourakarmikas to mandatorily wear gloves while on duty and directed officials to immediately clear all identified black spots and ensure thorough road cleaning.

He also advised auto-tipper drivers to strictly segregate dry and wet waste before disposal.

Present during the inspection were Joint Commissioner Mohammad Naem Momin,Assistant General Manager of Hebbal Division Abhilash,and other concerned staff members.

*Awareness Drive on Waste Disposal Conducted:

Across various divisions under the limits of Bengaluru North City Corporation,households and establishments dumping garbage along roadsides or in open spaces were identified.

In these cases,waste was dumped back in front of their houses and penalties were imposed as per rules.

To prevent roadside dumping in the future,the Corporation has launched a public awareness drive, urging citizens to hand over segregated dry and wet waste to auto-tippers that visit their localities at designated times.

The Commissioner emphasized that city cleanliness requires collective effort, stating that while Corporation staff work tirelessly every day to maintain hygiene and cleanliness,citizens must also actively cooperate in this mission.
