A 36-year-old labourer was bludgeoned to death by his employer after he started verbally abusing mother of the employer and creating ruckus in an inebriated state at the house in ullal upanagara in jnanabharathi police station limits in the wee hours of Tuesday .
The deceased has been identified as Avinash and the police arrested the accused Karthik .
According to the police Avinash was a distant relative of Karthik working in a eatery run by Karthik and his mother .
The accused was staying in an adjacent house of the accused and stopped working ..
Probe revealed that Avinash became alcoholic and his wife and children fed up of his alcoholism left him .
Avinash later started doing odd jobs but stopped working due to his alcoholic behaviour.
Avinash used to come home drunk and create ruckus .. on Monday night came home drunk and started creating ruckus and hurled abuses at the mother of Karthik .
She informed Karthik who was out on work.
Enraged karthik rushed home picked up an iron rod used as crash guard for bike and assaulted Avinash.
A couple of severe blows on head rendered Karthik collapsed on the ground and died of excessive bleeding .
Karthik even tried to administer first aid to revive him but in vain .
Neighbours noticed the commotion and alerted police .
Based on the information the police rushed to the spot arrested Karthik and shifted the body for Post mortem.
