Four member gang arrested by Sadashivanagar police for looting shops

Following a theft case,the Sadashivanagar police followed the leads and arrested a gang of four for stealing cash and valuables from a shop on Last Monday .

Senior officer told reporters that based on a complaint filed at the Sadashivanagar Police Station by the owner of the Nandini Milk Parlor located on Temple Road, Ashwathnagar,in Sadashivanagar Police Station,the police analysed as many as 50 CCTV footage to zeroing in on the gang .

The complainant stated that on last Monday after locking the milk parlour for the night and returning home, he found the shop’s door partially open the next morning when he arrived to open it.

Upon entering the shop,he discovered that cash Rs.6,500 kept in the cash box had been stolen.The locks of two adjacent grocery shops had also been broken in an attempt to steal, but no items or money were taken from those shops.

During the investigation,the police explored multiple leads and based on credible information received from informants,apprehended four suspects near Bandikalamma Temple in Guttahalli on Saturday .

The police seized the autorickshaw used in the crime and Rs.15,500 in cash from the accused.

Upon interrogation, the four individuals confessed to their involvement in the theft case.The accused have been produced before the court on Sunday and remanded them to judicial custody.
