The Sadashivanagar police are on the lookout for a gang of five who robbed a mobile phone from a 28-year-old house keeping staff,while he was waiting for the transportation in front of the gate 4,palace ground on Ballary Road in the wee hours of Friday.
The victim,Rajesh Kumar Behara,resident of Koodlu gate had gone to Tumakuru with his friend on a a bike and returning home late in the night.
While reaching the palace grounds at around 2.30 am , the bike got punctured and the duo was waiting for the transport .
The accused approached Behera in an autorickshaw and asked him to help transferring money online,while they pay cash to him.
Due to the repeated request as they cited emergency, Behera agreed to help and was transferring the money to the number they are sharing.Suddenly one of them, grabbed his phone worth Rs.10,000 and pushed him away sped away in the autorickshaw.
