Duo including Ambulance Driver arrested by RT Nagar Police for stabbing PU student with knife at college campus over trivial row

In a swift action,the RT Nagar police on Tuesday arrested an ambulance driver and his friend for assaulting a PU student with knife at the college campus over a trivial row on Saturday.

The victim, a second PU student at the private college situated in RT Nagar first block,got treatment at the hospital before filing a complaint with the police on Tuesday.

Based on the complaint,the police swung into action and arrested the accused within 24 hours .

The accused have been booked under assault with dangerous weapons and and also under Arms act for further investigations.

Probe revealed that the accused who was former student of the college,miffed about the victim who was talking to a girl in the college,with whom the accused was close .

The accused dropped out of college and started working as ambulance driver his associate was working at an eatery, the officer,said .

The duo have been remanded to judicial custody and further investigations are on.The police also verified the possible involvement of the girl and ruled out as she was not even aware of the incident .
